Gilpin's Westmorland Extra Dry Gin features 8 botanicals, including borage, sage and citrus peels, alongside grain spirit and water from Cartmel in the Lake District.
-
Launched in 2012, the gin is distilled in a traditional still at Thames Distillery in London. The bottle features the Wild Boar of Westmorland which is reported to have terrorised people in the Lake District in the 13th century. The story goes that in 1207 Sir Richard de Gilpin managed to kill the boar and was granted the Wild Boar of Westmorland as the family crest.
